Summary: We survived, at least. Had to go to nearby Walmart to buy towels due to the "white" towels were heavily stained. Looks like the motel also rented out low income long-term tenants. It's a very old property with minimal upkeep. No toiletries or shampoos provided. To end on a positive note, the A/C in our room worked well.
